Are We Social Engineers?

My second article published at Social Matter, this serves as a rebuttal to the attempts to cast Reactionary politics as a form of social engineering. In the essay, I talk about man’s organic state and the position of the Reactionary with regard to this state, namely that we are the adherents of the organic state. Contrary to Enlightenment philosophy, we view the organic state of man as being a part of the Traditional society and thus are invested in the creation of this society. Rather than social engineering, this is the reverse-engineering, the dismantling of inorganic modifications to human life. Our aim is not to engineer the Modern World still further, but rather to destroy it and rebuild over it. As one commenter noted, we are builders.
