‘Adoration of the Shepherds’ by Gerard Van Honthorst
Wishing all of my fellow Orthospheric Reactionaries a blessed and wonderful Christmas. Know that, the day itself as a period of twenty-four hours means little nor does how well it corresponds to the precise date of birth of the Holy Redeemer. It is the metaphysical spirit that imbues our prostration before the Son on this day that makes it holy.
For many, the Reactionary life is a lonely existence that can make camaraderie with friends and family difficult, especially if they are of a secular or left wing inclination. I myself am surrounded by unbelievers on this day, who will care not for the God they refuse to bow to, but instead for the commercialized festival of greed and materialism that has replaced our beloved holiday.
Let not such individuals darken your mood on this day and reserve your time for reflection upon your service to the Lord, His spiritual designs for you, and His will that all people be reconciled to Him.
When the food has been eaten, when the presents have been torn from their wrappings, reserve a time of silence and pray to our God, the Alpha and the Omega who was given as the Son on earth to bear the weight of our wrongdoings and the evil of those around us. Give thanks on this day for it commemorates the arrival of salvation, our refuge from an eternity apart from Him.
Praise be to God. This day is not for the Moderns. It is for Him.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
